Three days is the time remaining from the 10th year anniversary of the terrorist attack on America which caused countless casualties and a huge hit to our pride.  I was in the 4th grade with Mrs. Mitchell (my teacher). Our class was watching the footage from our classroom. We saw cameramen get blasted away when the second plane hit and it was one of the saddest times I can remember. Where were you? I can remember vividly everything form that day. People started crying everywhere around me and I joined in, not truly knowing the severity of what was going on. My "gf" at the time (4th grade nothing serious obviously) was just hugging me her eyes wouldn't leave the screen. I could go on but let's hear your accounts. As a note I know we all like to joke and "kid around" but this is a serious topic so I will ask for only proper responses, if for nothing else for the respect of the people that were involved. I was 5 at the time so I think I was in my Kindergarten class. I remember being bored because my parents were watching the news all day. I had no idea what was going on. |

Moving this to deep discussion as it's a very serious subject. I think I must have been in school when it happened. It wasn't really a big deal here until later that day or perhaps the next day. Could have been because I was only 11 though. No one really knew what was going on. ~Tim |

I just had turn 4 2 days before that. I remember just a little. An alert went off the tv. I was scared. But I really didn't know what happened to next year around the same time. I was at home btw. |

I just remember watching the footage on a tiny black and white tv i had in a spare room for playing my Play Station on, and the sun was streaming in and making it really hard to see the image. But I'd got how serious it was, my mum had tears in her eyes when I'd woken up and she'd been reading the paper. That was all I needed to know. |

I was in Grade 8, we sat and watched all day hoping Canada wouldnt get hit next. We got on our moose, armored our beavers and readied ourself for battle. |

I would have been 11 when it happened. I used to get taken to and from school by a private taxi paid for my the school for "problem" children because I couldn't be trusted to safely walk home from school on my own. So I didn't find out about any terrorist attacks until on my way home in the taxi. It came over the radio that the Pentagon had been crashed into but I wasn't entirely paying attention. Then I got home and saw that the twin towers had also been crashed into. |

I was 12 and had just gotten up to get ready for school. I put the T.V on to watch some toons but the 9/11 footage was on every channel. When I got to school that's what everyone was talking about. |

I was at school, I'll never forget that day because I didn't know about 9/11 until after 4:00 in the afternoon. Me and my friends were in grade 4, we skipped school that morning and went to get some ice cream then we spent the rest of the day playing street hockey and video games.

According to my math i was 10 years old in 5th grade when it happened. I remember being in the class room watching the T.V. I didn't really understand the seriousness of what was going on. |

I was in class in 5th grade when our teacher told us that something tragic happen. For the rest of the class and school we watched the coverage. I remember my teacher being very emotional and I ran home to see my entire family glued to the T.V. It was a really shocking day to say the least. |

I was in 4th grade and some girl in like 6th grade said that a plane had crashed into the Pentagon(in the morning) and I thought it was strange but frankly I wasn't too bothered. If people didn't say "people will remember where they were when the planes hit/they heard about it for the rest of their lives" I wouldn't remember, it was just one of those self-fulfilling prophecies. edit: Also I don't get why this is in deep discussion. I was 16 at the time. I was just about to go to school when my parents told me to watch the news. It's pretty much the only thing that was discussed at school that day. |
